Privacy Policy for Eazy Receipt

Last updated: January 21, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Eazy Receipt ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our receipt generator service (the "Service"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site.

2. Information We Collect

Our Service allows you to generate and manage receipts, invoices, products, inventory, tax rules (including GST in India), and organization accounts. Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Receipt and business data: Names, addresses, item descriptions, prices and amounts, tax details (such as GST rates and GSTIN for Indian businesses), and other business information you enter into receipts, invoices, and settings.
  • Product and inventory data: Product names, SKUs, barcodes, categories, prices, stock levels, and related configuration you choose to store.
  • Account and organization data: Your name, email address, profile information, organization name, roles, and membership details when you sign in and create or join an organization.
  • Subscription and payment data: Plan information, subscription status, and payment-related metadata processed through our payment providers. We do not store your full card, UPI, or other sensitive payment instrument details on our servers.
  • Usage and analytics data: Anonymous or pseudonymous information about how you use the Service (for example, feature usage, device and browser type, timestamps), used to help us improve performance and reliability.
  • Contact information: Details you provide when you reach out via our contact form, such as your name, email, message content, and time zone.

For the receipt generator itself, data remains in your browser until you sign in and explicitly choose to save. When you save while signed in, only the information required to store your receipts, business profile, products, inventory, and tax rules is securely uploaded to our cloud storage so that it can be accessed later across your devices.

If you do not save while signed in, we do not store the receipt content on our servers.

We do not independently verify or validate the customer details, business information, product data, or tax information that you or your organization members enter into the Service. This information is provided and controlled by you, and it is your responsibility to ensure that it is accurate, lawful, and compliant with any applicable regulations.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the receipt and billing Service.
  • Store your receipts, invoices, business, product, inventory, and tax settings so you can access them securely across sessions and devices.
  • Support organization features such as teams, roles, and shared access to billing data.
  • Calculate taxes (including GST for Indian businesses) based on the configuration you provide.
  • Manage subscriptions, process payments via our payment providers, and handle invoicing related to your plan.
  • Monitor usage and performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve the Service using aggregated or pseudonymous analytics data.
  • Communicate with you about important changes, security updates, and support requests.

Depending on your location and how you use the Service, we may process your personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds: your consent; the performance of a contract with you (for example, when we provide the Service you signed up for); compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, provided that those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

We do not sell your receipt content, business data, or personal information to third parties.

Any tax or GST amounts calculated by the Service are derived solely from the data and configuration you provide. While we aim to calculate these values correctly based on your inputs, we cannot guarantee that they are complete, accurate, or compliant with the rules of your jurisdiction. You remain fully responsible for reviewing all tax information and ensuring your final invoices and records meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

4. Data Storage and Security

When you save while signed in, your data is securely stored in our cloud database using industry-standard security practices. Access is tied to your user account or organization and protected by authentication and authorization controls.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Once downloaded, the security of your receipt files on your device is also your responsibility.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your saved receipts or business information to third parties. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics tools, and payment processors. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect it.

Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each website that collects personally identifiable information.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our website. These are used for essential website functionality and to understand how our Service is used (for example, through anonymous or aggregated analytics). We do not use cookies to read the content of your saved receipts.  You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. By using our Service, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this Policy.

7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your country or region, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information. These may include the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct or update inaccurate information, to request deletion of your personal information, to obtain a copy of your data in a portable format, or to restrict or object to certain types of processing where permitted by law.

You can submit a request to exercise these rights by contacting us through our Contact Page. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and in some cases we may be unable to comply with a request where we have a legal obligation or overriding legitimate interest to retain certain data. Your specific rights and how they apply can vary based on the laws of your jurisdiction.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain certain information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our legitimate business interests.

When we no longer need to retain personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or anonymize it so that it can no longer be associated with you.

9. International Data Transfers

Our Service may be operated from and supported by infrastructure and service providers located in countries other than your own. As a result, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in a country that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Regardless of where your data is processed, we will handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and take appropriate measures to help protect it, including through contractual safeguards where required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by adults and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as practicable.
